Hexagon Cup, a new padel tournament adapted to the new generations

Padel is experiencing significant growth in the sports world. With the aim to attract the new generations, the Hexagon Cup has emerged, a tournament that seeks to innovate without losing the essence of classic competitions. With the goal of bringing padel to new audiences, the tournament stands out for the participation of celebrities, young talents, and the attractive prize of one million euros for the winning team, aiming to create a unique excitement for the attending audience.

Hexagon Cup, a tournament close to the new generations

Hexagon Cup inaugurates a new competitive format in padel inspired by competitions like the Kings League. It is a modality where not only a fierce competition takes center stage but also entertains and connects with the new sports audiences seeking an innovative format, moving away from hermetic and one-sided competitions. Now, inclusive competitive formats are sought to allow audiences to be part of the tournament and interact more closely with the sport and their favorite players.

A tournament that looks beyond sports

Padel has not been the exception. The Hexagon Cup not only offered attendees a fierce and competitive tournament where some of the best padel players in the world faced each other, but also included experiences for attendees to be part of the event. The Hexagon Cup provided a zone with food trucks, live concerts, a shopping area, and even a fan zone for fans to interact closely with celebrities and participating athletes.

The first edition of the Hexagon Cup took place in late January 2024 at the Madrid Arena. The six teams that participated in this edition stood out for the large number of celebrities behind them. The RL9 padel team, led by FC Barcelona player Robert Lewandowski; Eleven Eleven Team, led by Eva Longoria; Team Bella Puerto Rico, led by entrepreneurs María Esteve and Carlos López-Lay; the padel team of the Rafa Nadal Academy, led by Richard Mille; Advantage Padel Team, led by Andy Murray; and the Hexagon Cup’s own padel team, Hexagon Team. In short, an international line-up full of globally recognized figures in the world of celebrities and sports competing to win one million euros.

Eva Longoria, a prominent celebrity in the tournament with her Eleven Eleven USA Team

Eva Longoria was one of the most prominent figures in the tournament as she chaired and participated in the competition with her own professional padel team, Eleven Eleven Team, of which she is president and owner along with her partner, Catalan businessman Dani Homedes.

Longoria, in addition to being a renowned actress of worldwide fame, is also passionate about padel.
